River Safari gears up to boost up the tourists
Come the year 2011; the Night Safari and Singapore Zoo will add a new attraction to drive more traffic to the tourist spot. As per the announcement made by the Singapore Tourism Board, Wildlife Reserves Singapore has been developing a new attraction named as River Safari in the compound of Night Safari.
Bearing the cost of S$140m (£66.4m), this new-added feature is believed to give a boost in tourist number. Expected to be completed in 2011, it will be the first freshwater river-based theme in Asia. Being developed at 89-hectare area in Singapore Zoo, River Safari is expected to house many wild species and will be surrounded with over 30,000 trees.
Water-based activities and other recreations add more value to the place. Like other natural attractions in Singapore like Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Botanic Gardens, the River Safari too will become a ‘must-to-see’ spot.
