Being less-crowded and under-developed, these islands make the best choice for activities like swimming or camping.


Batam Island

Located just 45 minutes from Singapore Harbour Centre it is a unique destination for enjoying holidays with family or for business purposes. Batam Island offers you good accommodation facilities around swimming pool. Apart from good facilities for various sports like aircraft gun, archery, bowling, fishing, cycling, etc it also has a line of good restaurants to satisfy your hunger.


Kusu Island

For years this island has been associated with many beliefs and rituals. Even today Taoists go to the Toa Pekong Temple for their annual pilgrimage. Kramat Kusu, situated on the top of a hill is known for childless couples who visit it with a belief to have children. Otherwise too, the island is a good place to relax and viewing beautiful sights.


St John's Island

The sprawling beaches with changing rooms and toilets make it an ideal place for swimming. A much popular place for weekend, the island is also good for having picnics and camping. You can also stay overnight as the place has some colonial bungalows which can be taken on rent.


Pulau Ubin

To reach to this mangrove island you have to take an exotic bum-boat ride from Changi jetty. Offering interesting activities and amazing sights, this place is good for a weekend retreat. Rent a bike and explore the place through mountain-biking or just visit the local area. Along with traditional fishing villages, the place also has Chinese temples and prawn and fish farms.


Sisters Island

Sisters Island is good for swimming and water sports like scuba diving, etc. Picnicking on the grass around sun-bathed beaches is a great idea. Since it does not have a regular ferry services, you have to rent a water taxi to reach here.
